Pat Tonielli and Susan Daily opened Doggy Indulgence, a spa and salon for dogs in September of 2006 -- the Year of the Dog in Chinese astrology.   "They have had success in California and the U.K. with dog spas," groomer Tonielli said. "So I did some research and found there was nothing like this in this area."  Doggy Indulgence is Delmarva's first full-service Grooming Salon and Dog Spa. It's located off Willow Grove Road, five miles southwest of Camden, Delaware in Kent County.  People have said, “It’s unbelievable – it’s like a country club for your dog!”  From the moment you see the sign and the buoy, you know you are somewhere special.

Pat Tonielli, groomer and proprietor, has been training dogs for the last ten years. She has a degree in psychology, which led her to an interest in animal behavior and training. She has attained the highest level of titles in her sport, and her ten year old female, Marta, is one of the few female giant schnauzers in the United States to have a VPG III title. She is currently training Marta's three year old daughter, Asta. Over the past few years she has worked for quite a few grooming establishments while visualizing the perfect space to conduct her craft, learning from each situation and each groomer. She designed, supervised construction, and acted as the general contractor for Doggy Indulgence over a two-year period. From the very beginning, she saw the provision of a pool for dog exercise (aqua-exercise) as key to the concept of a "one stop shop" for dogs where they could become more fit and more beautiful in one location. She is a genuine lover of dogs, and seeks to provide the most healthy and peaceful environment possible for pets, their owners, and the Doggy Indulgence team.

Pat Tonielli has years of experience grooming dogs of all breeds.  All grooms include bathing, clipping, nail trimming and ear cleaning.  She uses the highest quality shampoos and products from Best Shot and Davis, with ingredients such as mint, lavender, chamomile and lemongrass.  Special services available include de-shedding, medicated baths for skin problems, and natural flea and tick treatments.  Doggy Indulgence uses hydraulic tables that lower for older or larger dogs, and a hydro-massage bathing system that cleans thoroughly and efficiently.

Both Pat and Susan are members of many dog-related organizations including the Working Riesenschnauzer Federation, DVG America, and the Susquehanna RiverHundesport Klub.
